Enjoy The Natural Beauty Of Your Stone Again

entrance-foyer

Have you ever been asked if your stone had a polished or honed finish? You can figure out what they mean when they say polished finish, its shiny looking. But, what do they mean when they say honed finish? Honed finish is that natural, smooth looking surface. For example, think of a tube of lipstick or paint color for your walls. You can choose between a glossy or matte finish in either product. The same goes for stone. Honed surfaces tend to do well in high traffic and heavily used areas because they don’t seem to show scratches or etch marks as easily as your polished surfaces. They are also less slippery when wet (something to think about when you are choosing your flooring for your bathroom or staircases).

Now, you can bring that luster back to your honed surfaces on your own. We have created a kit that gives you the tools you need to get that honed look you’ve been wanting. All you need is some water and a drill (something you more than likely already have at home). The MB-14 Honing Kit is an ideal means to restore your stone surface without spending a bundle on a full stone restoration process. This kit provides the necessary items needed to restore your honed surface back to its natural beauty.

The MB-14 polishing powder works really well as a finishing product to produce a uniform honed surface. It can be used to minimize the factory swirls from honed and filled travertine tiles, along with other honed-finished stones. It also works well removing light surface scratches without the use of professional diamond pads. Now, you can get this polishing powder in a kit, ready to use, instructions included.

The kit comes with eight ounces of MB-14, two hogs hair pads, one white pad, and the drill attachment that holds the pads in place. This kit will cover approximately 150 to 250 square feet. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and give it a try. It’s user-friendly and may surprise you with how great the results turn out.

My MB Stone Pro Experience

I was trained by Maurizio Bertoli of MB Stone, what seems like a lifetime ago. The training just started during that four days. Maurizio helped me for many years answering phone calls when I was stuck on a job, or an email regarding how to grow my business. During those years I met Stu Rosen and quickly formed a great relationship with him as well.

I still remember that horrible day when Stu called me to tell me about the accident that took Maurizio from all of us too soon.

Eventually Stu took over the reigns of MB Stone. I was so impressed he consistently honored our mentor while slowly working his imprint on both the training and products.

My sons worked throughout high school and college in my little marble restoration business. My oldest son came to a MB Stone training event, probably one of the last that Maurizio ran. Stu participated in that training in support of Maurizio. My son, Tim, was very young. He came along for the trip and Maurizio invited him to participate. I was a little taken back and nervous watching him grab the big grinder removing lippage!

As I got older, two of my sons graduated from college announcing they wanted to keep my company going after I retired. I had no idea they each were even considering that because they are both so smart they could simply do anything they wanted to. I will admit, I was so proud they would choose my meager company, creating a legacy for the last business years of my old life.

They started attending the new Stu version classes of MB Stone and started calling Stu when they needed help.

Tim has restored over 6,000 floors by the tender age of 25. Kyle has restored over 2,000 tops and 3,000 showers. Kyle lifts weights 6 days a week just to make sure he has the physical stamina to do such hard work.

We buy all of our equipment and supplies from MB Stone. Once in while they tell us about a product we should use that they don’t carry and I am forced to go elsewhere. But we would never consider buying anything elsewhere. The valuable help we derive from their formal training and helpful phone support make it a no-brainer for us. With the solid base of them knowing exactly what we have in our arsenal, and how we were trained to use it all in harmony, they can offer very insightful help.

So if you are new to the natural stone restoration business or a seasoned veteran looking for a great and helpful business partner, Stu Rosen and MB Stone Pro is the right way to go. Go to a training class and listen, try out some equipment, talk with the other attendees and it will change your life. It sure did for me.

Respectfully,

Joe Wirtz
